CHOR begs KIU not to abandon him and promises not to love HO. KIU realizes that she has hurt CHOR deeply, and cries with him. CHOR hides himself from HO. SHING deliberately takes HO to her college by a wrong route in order to tell her of his feelings for her, but she stops him before he can do it.
